As Rep. Matt Salmon Announces Retirement from Congress, Supporters Offer Thanks, Praise for His Effective Service on Behalf of Taxpayers
PHOENIX – This afternoon Chairman Robert Graham of the Arizona Republican Party thanked Congressman Matt Salmon of Mesa for his public service as he announced he would not seek re-election to Congress this fall. Salmon also served as chairman of the Arizona Republican Party from 2005 to 2007.
“Matt’s been a solid state legislator, a great state party chairman, an incredibly hard worker in Congress, and a good friend for many years — I am proud of his service and many accomplishments during his time in office,” said Arizona Republican Party Chairman Robert Graham. “He has left big shoes to fill, but it’s a district that is solidly Republican and I’m going to do my best to keep it that way.”
